THE BRIDGE OF SANS LUIS REY

Five people, on separate journeys for seemingly unconnected reasons, happen to be crossing ‘The Bridge of Sans Luis Rey’ on the fateful day of July 20th 1714. The bridge collapses and all five fall to their deaths in the deep gorge below. Was it chance or the hand of God that brought them together at that fatal time in that place? Set in early 18th century Peru at the height of the Spanish inquisition. Based on the Pulitzer award winning book by Thornton Wilder in 1927.
